Mackerel is a quality and very popular type of fish and is always present on the menu of true seafood lovers. It can be said that mackerel fillets are an indispensable part of a balanced daily diet.
Delamaris mackerels are certainly the most popular in our country, because they are prepared without additives or preservatives, so they are a healthy choice for all occasions and for the whole family. They are best served with bread, at home in a salad or with pasta. On vacation, during a quick lunch at work, for a well-deserved break and a snack or for a dinner for two with a chosen film.
A recipe that will undoubtedly brighten up your summer
It’s a recipe that promises a new dimension to summer evening socials – a skillet with mackerel fillets in Mediterranean sauce and a piece of fresh white bread to coat your new fish specialty. No utensils or plates – juicy and crispy!
Ingredients for 4 people (preparation time: 30 minutes):
1 stem of green
1 onion
2 tablespoons olive oil
2 cloves garlic
2 sun-dried tomatoes
1 dry chilli
250g cherry tomatoes
1 sprig of fresh basil
400 g crushed tomatoes
1 teaspoon of salt
50g green olives
250 g mackerel fillets in Mediterranean Delamaris oil
Treat:
Place a larger pan on the stove. Heat the olive oil and brown the chopped onion, the chopped celery stalk, the chopped clove of garlic, the chopped dried tomatoes and the chopped dry pepper while stirring.
Wash the cherry tomatoes, cut them into quarters and add them to the pan with the vegetables and a sprig of basil. Cook for five minutes, stirring.
Add the crushed tomatoes and simmer for about ten minutes to thicken the sauce. Stir constantly and season to taste with salt, add more olives and stir again.
Arrange the mackerel fillets over the sauce and remove the dish from the slow cooker. Sprinkle with fresh basil and serve with fresh bread.
