During the hot summer days we are currently experiencing and cucumbers are on the march in our gardens, and the season for processing čevapčiči and similar barbecue specialties is at its peak, in addition to the obligatory Greek salad (also called šobska ), unlimited amounts of tomatoes and peppers also cucumber salad, also called tzatziki salad. We are talking about another classic cold and juicy cucumber salad of Greek origin.

Cucumbers as vegetables can be attributed to many good properties. They are extremely low in calories, with a high content of minerals, they have a little less vitamins. They speed up the drainage of water from the body and are a very basic type of vegetable. With a large amount of selenium in cucumbers, it is also consumed against carcinogens. They also regulate blood sugar and thus relieve the burden on the pancreas.
Dill spice adds a special charm to the salad, which should not be missing in it. If you have a garden, it certainly grows there, but you can also shake it out of the pot when you buy it.

Our tzatziki salad is a quick and easy dish. For the pleasure to be complete, it will be better to prepare it a little earlier so that it cools and waits for us in the fridge.
For a bowl of salad we need:
3 to 4 cucumbers
2 to 3 minced garlic cloves
2 to 3 dl Greek yogurt
Sour cream spoon
A teaspoon of mayonnaise
A teaspoon of olive oil
Dill twigs
Salt pepper

Preparation:
Peel a squash, grate it and squeeze out the juice. I myself am a proponent of peeling cucumbers, but otherwise more vitamins are found in their skins. Add cucumber yogurt, minced garlic, dill. Then add all the other ingredients and mix well. Place the salad in the refrigerator for a while to soak the ingredients well.
